We are currently seeking candidates for the fixed term contract position of Graphic Designer to join our Kingsville team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design electronic and printed materials for trade exhibits, displays, publications, marketing materials, websites, social platforms, and other channels
• Write and edit marketing copy for social media, blogs, website content, PR, etc.
• Develop content for various social platforms, include video, reels & imagery. Monitor their performance via analytics
• Create and produce JPEGs, PDFs, video, clip art, graphs, charts, thumbnail images, and other design elements
• Create electronic page layouts using publishing software
• Conceptualize and design advertisements, brochures, and other exhibits/displays
• PowerPoints, letter head, stationary
• Integrate multimedia concepts with technical graphic design elements, as appropriate
• Identify, source, and select vendors/service providers for printing and publication services, as necessary (e.g., illustrators, printers, typesetters, photographers, etc.)
• Select the appropriate media and materials (e.g., paper, ink, etc.)
• Inspect proofs for accuracy and adherence to corporate standards, including print, digital, and social
• Provide technical graphic assistance to production personnel, content authors, publishers, clients, and/or vendors/service providers
• Coordinate and maintain a library of graphics, media, digital records, and other enterprise content
• Design visual concepts using graphic design tools including design software
• Select colors, fonts, photographs, layouts and other design elements to communicate creative concepts
• Support website updates with the assistance support site contractors
• Support the development and adherence to the marketing budget
• Create food photography, digital and print advertisement creative and execution with media partners
• Monitor trends, demands, and recommendations on increasing brand awareness
• Development of creative for packaging graphics
• Proof material for graphics and social media
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in graphic design or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a graphic designer
• Mastery of graphic design software, including the Adobe Creative suite
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing and maintaining various social media platforms and analyzing social analytics is considered an asset
• Well versed in the latest graphic design methods, practices, techniques, and associated principles
• Demonstrated portfolio showing creative, design, and software skills
• Strong knowledge of page layout and photographic requirements
• Strong knowledge of printing/publishing procedures and standards
• Photography and Digital training
• Effective deadline management and project management skills
• Able to identify, select, and coordinate vendors for printing needs
• Strong interpretive skills to analyze technical information and create illustrations
• Ability to develop print specifications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Experience using a MAC computer

Working Conditions:

• Sitting and standing for an extended amount of time may be required
• Ability to attend and conduct presentations
• May be required to work overtime as needed
